The short version: CounterMint is a friendly risk-assessment aid for spotting likely fake cards — not a grading or authentication service, and not a guarantee. It can be wrong, so for valuable cards always get a professional opinion.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using CounterMint (the “app”), you agree to these Terms of Service. CounterMint is published by AkiziTech (“we”, “our”, “us”). If you do not agree, please don’t use the app.
2. What CounterMint is — and isn't
CounterMint is a fun, informational risk-assessment aid. You photograph a card, answer a quick question, and the app gives a friendly traffic-light verdict — “Looks good”, “Hmm”, or “Be careful” — with plain-language reasons.
It is not a certification, grading, or authentication service, and it is not a guarantee. A verdict is an opinion generated from a photo and your answers; it can be wrong. Never rely on CounterMint as the sole basis for buying, selling, or valuing a card.
- For any valuable card, get it examined or graded by a reputable professional service.
- CounterMint does not appraise value and makes no claim about a card’s authenticity, condition, or worth.
- Card identification and details are generated with the help of AI and third-party data sources, and may be incomplete or incorrect.
3. Tokens and purchases
Each card check spends one token. Tokens are sold as consumable in-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Prices are shown by the store in your local currency at the time of purchase.
- Tokens do not expire.
- Tokens have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be redeemed for money.
- Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or the relevant app store’s policies — refund requests are handled by Apple or Google.
- “Restore purchases” is available to recover entitlements tied to your store account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to misrepresent a CounterMint verdict as an official authentication or grade;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or abuse the app or its backend service; or
- Attempt to circumvent token limits, rate limits, or security measures.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results. We do not warrant that verdicts are correct or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AkiziTech will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on a verdict — including any decision to buy, sell, trade, or value a card. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for tokens in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
